²⁰ Then Joseph’s master took him and ^(A)put him into the ^(B)prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison.

¹⁵ For indeed I was ^(A)stolen away from the land of the Hebrews; ^(B)and also I have done nothing here that they should put me into the dungeon.”

¹⁹ For this is ^(A)commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully.

^9 (A)for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, ^(B)even to the point of chains; ^(C)but the word of God is not chained.

²¹ Then these men were bound in their coats, their trousers, their turbans, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. ²² Therefore, because the king’s command was ^[a]urgent, and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego.

⁹ Then the ^(A)chief butler spoke to Pharaoh, saying: “I remember my faults this day. ¹⁰ When Pharaoh was ^(B)angry with his servants, ^(C)and put me in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, both me and the chief baker, ^11 (D)we each had a dream in one night, he and I. Each of us dreamed according to the interpretation of his own dream. ¹² Now there was a young ^(E)Hebrew man with us there, a ^(F)servant of the captain of the guard. And we told him, and he ^(G)interpreted our dreams for us; to each man he interpreted according to his own dream. ¹³ And it came to pass, just ^(H)as he interpreted for us, so it happened. He restored me to my office, and he hanged him.”

^14 (I)Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they ^(J)brought him quickly ^(K)out of the dungeon; and he shaved, ^(L)changed his clothing, and came to Pharaoh.
