²² Then God remembered Rachel, and God heeded her and opened her womb.^(A)

³¹ When the Lord saw that Leah was unloved, he opened her womb, but Rachel was barren.^(A)

The Flood Subsides

8 But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and all the domestic animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided;^(A)

² Jacob became very angry with Rachel and said, “Am I in the place of God, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?”^(A)

21 The Lord dealt with Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as he had promised.^{(A) 2} Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the time of which God had spoken to him.^(B)
