²⁶ When Terah had lived seventy years, he became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

² And Joshua said to all the people, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Long ago your ancestors—Terah and his sons Abraham and Nahor—lived beyond the Euphrates and served other gods.^(A)

²⁶ Serug, Nahor, Terah; ²⁷ Abram, that is, Abraham.

⁴ Jacob said to them, “My brothers, where do you come from?” They said, “We are from Haran.”^{(A) 5} He said to them, “Do you know Laban son of Nahor?” They said, “We do.”^(B)

The Children of Nahor

²⁰ Now after these things it was told Abraham, “Milcah also has borne children to your brother Nahor: ²¹ Uz the firstborn, Buz his brother, Kemuel the father of Aram, ²² Chesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph, and Bethuel.” ²³ Bethuel became the father of Rebekah. These eight Milcah bore to Nahor, Abraham’s brother.^{(A) 24} Moreover, his concubine, whose name was Reumah, bore Tebah, Gaham, Tahash, and Maacah.

⁴ So Abram went, as the Lord had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.^{(A) 5} Abram took his wife Sarai and his brother’s son Lot and all the possessions that they had gathered and the persons whom they had acquired in Haran, and they set forth to go to the land of Canaan.
