^18 (A)For thus says the Lord,
who created the heavens
    (he is God!),
who formed the earth and made it
    (he established it;
he ^(B)did not create it empty,
    ^(C)he formed it to be inhabited!):
“I am the Lord, and there is no other.

^11 (A)“Worthy are you, our Lord and God,
    to receive glory and honor and power,
for ^(B)you created all things,
    and ^(C)by your will they existed and were created.”

^(A)“You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning,
    and the heavens are the work of your hands;

⁴ “Where were you when I ^(A)laid the foundation of the earth?
    Tell me, if you have understanding.

⁵ Thus says God, the Lord,
    who created the heavens ^(A)and stretched them out,
    who spread out the earth and what comes from it,
^(B)who gives breath to the people on it
    and spirit to those who walk in it:
