5 ^(A)Stand^[a] fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a ^(B)yoke of bondage.

¹⁷ Now ^(A)the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is ^(B)liberty.

¹³ For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only ^(A)do not use liberty as an ^(B)opportunity for the flesh, but ^(C)through love serve one another.

^16 (A)as free, yet not ^(B)using liberty as a cloak for ^[a]vice, but as bondservants of God.

¹⁴ For ^(A)sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

³² And you shall know the ^(A)truth, and ^(B)the truth shall make you free.”

³³ They answered Him, ^(C)“We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?”

³⁴ Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, ^(D)whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. ³⁵ And ^(E)a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. ^36 (F)Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

² For ^(A)the law of ^(B)the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from ^(C)the law of sin and death.

⁹ But now ^(A)after you have known God, or rather are known by God, ^(B)how is it that you turn again to ^(C)the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?

⁴ And this occurred because of ^(A)false brethren secretly brought in (who came in by stealth to spy out our ^(B)liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, ^(C)that they might bring us into bondage),
