^19 (A)My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you,

¹³ till we all come to the unity of the faith ^(A)and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to ^(B)a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

²⁹ For whom ^(A)He foreknew, ^(B)He also predestined ^(C)to be conformed to the image of His Son, ^(D)that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

¹⁴ But ^(A)put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and ^(B)make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

^11 (A)So Moses said to the Lord, “Why have You afflicted Your servant? And why have I not found favor in Your sight, that You have laid the ^[a]burden of all these people on me? ¹² Did I conceive all these people? Did I beget them, that You should say to me, ^(B)‘Carry them in your bosom, as a ^(C)guardian carries a nursing child,’ to the land which You ^(D)swore^[b] to their fathers?

¹⁷ Yes, and if ^(A)I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice ^(B)and service of your faith, ^(C)I am glad and rejoice with you all.

Paul’s Paternal Care

¹⁴ I do not write these things to shame you, but ^(A)as my beloved children I warn you. ¹⁵ For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for ^(B)in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

¹⁰ I appeal to you for my son ^(A)Onesimus, whom I have begotten while in my chains,

^12 (A)Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always ^(B)laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand ^(C)perfect and ^[a]complete in all the will of God.
