¹⁸ But if you are ^(A)led by the Spirit, ^(B)you are not under the Law. ¹⁹ Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: ^(C)sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, ²⁰ idolatry, ^(D)witchcraft, hostilities, ^(E)strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, ^(F)selfish ambition, dissensions, ^(G)factions, ²¹ envy, ^(H)drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not ^(I)inherit the kingdom of God. ²² But ^(J)the fruit of the Spirit is ^(K)love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness, ^(L)self-control; against such things ^(M)there is no law. ²⁴ Now those who ^[a]belong to ^(N)Christ Jesus ^(O)crucified the flesh with its passions and ^(P)desires.

²⁴ Therefore the Law has become our ^[a](A)guardian to lead us to Christ, so that ^(B)we may be justified by faith. ²⁵ But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a ^[b](C)guardian.
