⁸ Rehum the commander and Shimshai the scribe wrote a letter against Jerusalem to Artaxerxes the king as follows:

⁹ Rehum the commander, Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of their associates, the ^(A)judges, the ^(B)governors, the officials, the Persians, the men of Erech, the Babylonians, the men of Susa, that is, the ^(C)Elamites,

¹⁸ And when they called for the king, there came out to them ^(A)Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, and ^(B)Shebnah the secretary, and Joah the son of Asaph, the recorder.

²⁵ and Sheva was secretary; and ^(A)Zadok and Abiathar were priests;

¹⁷ and ^(A)Zadok the son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar were priests, and ^(B)Seraiah was secretary,
