The Foundation of the Temple of Yahweh

Now in the second year of their coming to the house of God at Jerusalem in the second month, (E)Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak and the rest of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all who came from the captivity to Jerusalem, began the work and (F)appointed the Levites from twenty years and older to direct the work of the house of Yahweh. Then (G)Jeshua with his sons and brothers stood united with Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of [c]Judah and the sons of Henadad with their sons and brothers the Levites, to direct those who do the work in the house of God.

Foundation of the Temple is Laid

In the second year after their coming to the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jehozadak began their work, and the remainder of their brothers the priests and the Levites and all who came from the captivity to Jerusalem. They appointed the Levites from twenty years and older[a] to direct the work of the house of Yahweh. And Jeshua with his sons and brothers, and Kadmiel and his sons—the sons of Judah—together directed the workers in the house of God, along with the sons of Henadad and their sons and brothers the Levites.
