The Offerings

18 And He said to me, “(A)Son of man, this is what the Lord [a]God says: ‘These are the statutes for the altar on the day it is built, to offer (B)burnt offerings on it and to (C)sprinkle blood on it. 19 You shall give to the Levitical priests who are from the descendants of (D)Zadok, who come (E)near to Me to serve Me,’ declares the Lord God, ‘a [b](F)bull as a (G)sin offering. 20 And you shall take some of its blood and put it on its four (H)horns and on the four corners of the (I)ledge, and on the border all around; so you shall (J)cleanse it and make atonement for it. 21 You shall also take the bull as the sin offering, and it shall be (K)burned in the appointed place of the house, outside the sanctuary.

22 ‘And on the second day you shall offer a (L)male goat without blemish as a sin offering, and they shall (M)cleanse the altar from sin as they cleansed it with the bull. 23 When you have finished cleansing it, you shall offer a [c](N)bull without blemish and a (O)ram without blemish from the flock. 24 You shall offer them before the Lord, and the priests shall throw (P)salt on them, and they shall offer them up as a burnt offering to the Lord. 25 (Q)For seven days you shall prepare a goat as a sin offering daily; also a [d]bull and a ram from the flock, both without blemish, shall be prepared. 26 For seven days they shall make atonement for the altar and purify it; so shall they [e]consecrate it. 27 When they have completed the days, it shall be that on the (R)eighth day and onward, the priests shall [f]offer your burnt offerings on the altar, and your (S)peace offerings; and I will (T)accept you,’ declares the Lord God.”

18 Then He said to me: “Son of man,(A) this is what the Lord God says: These are the statutes for the altar on the day it is constructed, so that burnt offerings(B) may be sacrificed on it and blood may be sprinkled on it:(C) 19 You are to give a bull from the herd(D) as a sin offering(E) to the Levitical priests who are from the offspring of Zadok,(F) who approach Me in order to serve Me.”(G) This is the declaration of the Lord God. 20 “You must take some of its blood and apply it to the four horns(H) of the altar, the four corners of the ledge, and all around the rim. In this way you will purify the altar and make atonement for it.(I) 21 Then you must take away the bull for the sin offering, and it must be burned outside the sanctuary in the place appointed for the temple.(J)

22 “On the second day you are to present an unblemished male goat as a sin offering. They will purify the altar just as they did with the bull. 23 When you have finished the purification, you are to present a young, unblemished bull(K) and an unblemished ram from the flock.(L) 24 You must present them before the Lord; the priests will throw salt on them and sacrifice them as a burnt offering to the Lord.(M) 25 You will offer a goat for a sin offering each day for seven days.(N) A young bull and a ram from the flock, both unblemished, must also be offered. 26 For seven days the priests are to make atonement for the altar and cleanse it. In this way they will consecrate it[a] 27 and complete the days of purification. Then on the eighth day(O) and afterward, the priests will offer your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings on the altar, and I will accept you.”(P) This is the declaration of the Lord God.
