Ezekiel 24:2-4
21st Century King James Version

2 “Son of man, write thee the name of the day, even of this same day: The king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day.

3 And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, ‘Thus saith the Lord God: Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it.

4 Gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good piece — the thigh and the shoulder. Fill it with the choice bones.

2 “Son of man, record(A) this date, this very date, because the king of Babylon has laid siege to Jerusalem this very day.(B) 3 Tell this rebellious people(C) a parable(D) and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“‘Put on the cooking pot;(E) put it on
    and pour water into it.
4 Put into it the pieces of meat,
    all the choice pieces—the leg and the shoulder.
Fill it with the best of these bones;(F)
