Ezekiel 24:2-4 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)

Son of man, write thee the name of the day, even of this same day: for the King of Babel set himself against Jerusalem this same day.

Therefore speak a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God, Prepare a [a]pot, prepare it, and also pour water into it.

Gather the [b]pieces thereof into it, even every good piece, as the thigh and the shoulder, and fill it with the chief bones.

“Son of man, record this date, this very date, because the king of Babylon has laid siege to Jerusalem this very day. Tell this rebellious people a parable and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“‘Put on the cooking pot; put it on
    and pour water into it.
Put into it the pieces of meat,
    all the choice pieces—the leg and the shoulder.
Fill it with the best of these bones;
