² And the Lord said to me, “This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter by it, ^(A)because the Lord God of Israel has entered by it; therefore it shall be shut.

^2 (A)And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. ^(B)His voice was like the sound of many waters; ^(C)and the earth shone with His glory. ³ It was ^(D)like the appearance of the vision which I saw—like the vision which I saw when ^[a]I came ^(E)to destroy the city. The visions were like the vision which I saw ^(F)by the River Chebar; and I fell on my face. ^4 (G)And the glory of the Lord came into the ^[b]temple by way of the gate which faces toward the east.

¹⁰ and they ^(A)saw the God of Israel. And there was under His feet as it were a paved work of ^(B)sapphire stone, and it was like the ^(C)very^[a] heavens in its clarity.

6 In the year that ^(B)King Uzziah died, I ^(C)saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. ² Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, ^(D)with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. ³ And one cried to another and said:

⁴ And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.
