⁴ The man said to me, “Mortal, look closely and listen attentively, and set your mind on all that I shall show you, for you were brought here in order that I might show it to you; declare all that you see to the house of Israel.”^(A)

⁵ The Lord said to me: “Mortal, mark well, look closely, and listen attentively to all that I shall tell you concerning all the ordinances of the temple of the Lord and all its laws, and mark well the entrances^[a] to the temple and all the exits of the sanctuary.^(A)

²⁷ What I say to you in the dark, tell in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim from the housetops.

¹⁰ “As for you, mortal, describe the temple to the house of Israel, and let them measure the pattern, and let them be ashamed of their iniquities.^(A)

⁷ You shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house.^(A)

⁸ “But you, mortal, hear what I say to you; do not be rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you.”^(B)

² Thus says the Lord: Stand in the court of the Lord’s house and speak to all the cities of Judah that come to worship in the house of the Lord; speak to them all the words that I command you; do not hold back a word.^(A)

⁹ If you have ears,^[a] hear!”^(A)

¹⁷ Mortal, I have made you a sentinel for the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me.^(A)
