⁴ And the man said to me, ^(A)“Son of man, ^(B)look with your eyes, and ^(C)hear with your ears, and set your heart upon all that I shall show you, for you were brought here in order that I might show it to you. ^(D)Declare all that you see to the house of Israel.”

⁵ And the Lord said to me, ^(A)“Son of man, mark well, ^(B)see with your eyes, ^(C)and hear with your ears all that I shall tell you concerning ^(D)all the statutes of the temple of the Lord and all its laws. And mark well ^(E)the entrance to the temple and all the exits from the sanctuary.

²⁷ What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on ^(A)the housetops.

¹⁰ “As for you, ^(A)son of man, ^(B)describe to the house of Israel the temple, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and they shall measure the plan.

⁷ And you shall speak my words to them, ^(A)whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house.

⁸ “But you, son of man, hear what I say to you. ^(B)Be not rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and ^(C)eat what I give you.”

² “Thus says the Lord: ^(A)Stand in the court of the Lord's house, and speak to all the cities of Judah that come to worship in the house of the Lord ^(B)all the words that I command you to speak to them; ^(C)do not hold back a word.

^9 (A)He who has ears,^[a] let him hear.”

^17 (A)“Son of man, ^(B)I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall ^(C)give them warning from me.

Ezekiel's Call

2 And he said to me, ^(A)“Son of man,^{[a] (B)}stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.”
