¹⁴ Again, ^(A)though I say to the wicked, ^(B)‘You shall surely die,’ yet ^(C)if he turns from his sin and does what is just and right,

²⁷ Again, ^(A)when a wicked person turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he shall save his life.

A Plea to Return to the Lord

^8 (A)If I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die, ^(B)and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, ^(C)that wicked person shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.

⁷ If at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom, that I will ^(A)pluck up and break down and destroy it, ⁸ and if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, ^(B)turns from its evil, ^(C)I will relent of the disaster that I intended to do to it.

^19 (A)Repent therefore, and ^(B)turn back, that ^(C)your sins may be blotted out,
