¹⁷ Nevertheless, my eye spared them, and I did not destroy them or make an end of them in the wilderness.

¹³ Now, while I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah died. Then I fell down on my face, cried with a loud voice, and said, “Ah Lord God! You are finishing off the remnant of Israel!”^(A)

¹⁸ But even in those days, says the Lord, I will not make a full end of you.^(A)

²⁷ For thus says the Lord: The whole land shall be a desolation, yet I will not make a full end.^(A)

¹⁰ As for me, my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity, but I will bring down their deeds upon their heads.”^(A)

¹⁸ Therefore I will act in wrath; my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity, and though they cry in my hearing with a loud voice, I will not listen to them.”^(A)

² You, O mortal, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel:

¹⁹ you in your great mercies did not forsake them in the wilderness; the pillar of cloud that led them in the way did not leave them by day nor the pillar of fire by night that gave them light on the way by which they should go.^(A)
