¹⁵ And the cherubim were lifted up. This was ^(A)the living creature I saw by the River Chebar.

^5 (A)Also from within it came the likeness of four living creatures. And ^(B)this was their appearance: they had ^(C)the likeness of a man.

³ It was ^(A)like the appearance of the vision which I saw—like the vision which I saw when ^[a]I came ^(B)to destroy the city. The visions were like the vision which I saw ^(C)by the River Chebar; and I fell on my face.

²² So the cherubim ^(A)lifted up their wings, with the wheels beside them, and the glory of the God of Israel was high above them.

¹⁸ Then ^(A)the glory of the Lord ^(B)departed from the threshold of the ^[a]temple and stood over the cherubim. ¹⁹ And ^(C)the cherubim lifted their wings and mounted up from the earth in my sight. When they went out, the wheels were beside them; and they stood at the door of the ^(D)east gate of the Lord’s house, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.

^20 (E)This is the living creature I saw under the God of Israel ^(F)by the River Chebar, and I knew they were cherubim.

⁶ Furthermore He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great ^(A)abominations that the house of Israel commits here, to make Me go far away from My sanctuary? Now turn again, you will see greater abominations.”

¹³ As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, ^(A)like the appearance of torches going back and forth among the living creatures. The fire was bright, and out of the fire went lightning. ¹⁴ And the living creatures ran back and forth, ^(B)in appearance like a flash of lightning.

³ the word of the Lord came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the ^[a]Chaldeans by the River Chebar; and ^(A)the hand of the Lord was upon him there.
