A New City, a New Temple

40 In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after ^(A)the city was ^[a]captured, on the very same day ^(B)the hand of the Lord was upon me; and He took me there.

None remained except ^(I)the poorest people of the land. ¹⁵ And ^(J)he carried Jehoiachin captive to Babylon. The king’s mother, the king’s wives, his officers, and the mighty of the land he carried into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
