²⁵ Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Since you eat^(A) meat with the blood^(B) still in it and look to your idols and shed blood, should you then possess the land?^(C)

²⁶ You rely on your sword, you do detestable things,^(A) and each of you defiles his neighbor’s wife.^(B) Should you then possess the land?’

²⁰ No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons,^(A) not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons.

²¹ You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons.^(A)
