10 “Six years you shall sow your land and gather in its yield,(A) 11 but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow so that the poor of your people may eat, and what they leave the wild animals may eat. You shall do the same with your vineyard and with your olive orchard.
12 “Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest so that your ox and your donkey may have relief and your homeborn slave and the resident alien may be refreshed.(B) 13 Be attentive to all that I have said to you. Do not invoke the names of other gods; do not let them be heard on your lips.

10 “Now (A)you shall sow your land for six years and gather in its yield, 11 but in the seventh year you shall let it [a]rest and lie uncultivated, so that the needy of your people may eat; and whatever they leave the animal of the field may eat. You are to do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove.
12 “(B)For six days you are to do your work, but on the seventh day you shall cease from labor so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your female slave, as well as the stranger residing with you, may refresh themselves. 13 Now (C)concerning everything which I have said to you, be careful; and (D)do not mention the name of other gods, nor let them be heard [b]from your mouth.
