Exodus 1:17

¹⁷But the midwives ^(A)feared God, and did not do ^(B)as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive.

New International Version

¹⁷The midwives, however, feared^(A) God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do;^(B) they let the boys live.

¹⁹^(A)Then the woman took and spread a covering over the well’s mouth, and spread ground grain on it; and the thing was not known.

¹⁹His wife took a covering and spread it out over the opening of the well and scattered grain over it. No one knew anything about it.^(A)
