¹⁴ Each one who is registered, from twenty years old and up, shall give the Lord’s offering.

²⁰ The descendants of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn, their lineage, in their clans, by their ancestral houses, according to the number of names, individually, every male from twenty years old and up, everyone able to go to war:^(A)

¹¹ ‘Surely none of the people who came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and up, shall see the land that I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, because they have not unreservedly followed me^(A)—

² “Take a census of the whole congregation of the Israelites, from twenty years old and up, by their ancestral houses, everyone in Israel able to go to war.”^(A)

²⁹ your dead bodies shall fall in this very wilderness, and of all your number included in the census from twenty years old and up who have complained against me,^(A)

¹⁸ and on the first day of the second month they assembled the whole congregation together. They registered themselves in their clans, by their ancestral houses, according to the number of names from twenty years old and up, individually,

³ from twenty years old and up, everyone in Israel able to go to war. You and Aaron shall enroll them, company by company.
