³⁷ Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it, and the altar shall be most holy; whatever touches the altar shall become holy.^(A)

¹⁰ You shall also anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils and consecrate the altar, so that the altar shall be most holy.^(A)

¹⁹ How blind you are! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred?^(A)

¹⁷ You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the sanctuary that has made the gold sacred?^(A)

²⁴ “Seventy weeks are decreed for your people and your holy city: to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place.^[a](A)

²⁸ and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils and the basin with its stand; ²⁹ you shall consecrate them, so that they may be most holy; whatever touches them will become holy.^(A)
