¹² And you shall set the two stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, as stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel. And ^(A)Aaron shall bear their names before the Lord on his two shoulders ^(B)for remembrance.

⁷ then you shall tell them that ^(A)the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall be to the people of Israel ^(B)a memorial forever.”

^29 (A)So Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel in the breastpiece of judgment on his heart, when he goes into the Holy Place, to bring them to regular ^(B)remembrance before the Lord.

⁵⁴ And Moses and Eleazar the priest received the gold from the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tent of meeting, ^(A)as a memorial for the people of Israel before the Lord.

⁴⁰ to be a reminder to the people of Israel, so ^(A)that no outsider, who is not of the descendants of Aaron, should draw near to burn incense before the Lord, lest he become like Korah and his company—as the Lord said to him through Moses.

⁷ And you shall put pure frankincense on each pile, that it may go with the bread as a memorial portion as a food offering to the Lord.

⁶ They made the onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold filigree, and engraved like the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel. ⁷ And he set them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod to be stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

²⁵ Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost^{[a] (A)}those who draw near to God ^(B)through him, since he always lives ^(C)to make intercession for them.

²⁶ For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, ^(D)holy, innocent, unstained, ^(E)separated from sinners, and ^(F)exalted above the heavens. ²⁷ He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, ^(G)first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this ^(H)once for all when he offered up himself. ²⁸ For the law appoints men ^(I)in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made ^(J)perfect forever.

⁴ And he stared at him in terror and said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms ^(A)have ascended ^(B)as a memorial before God.
