^31 (A)“You shall make a veil woven of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen. It shall be woven with an artistic design of cherubim.

⁵¹ Then, behold, ^(A)the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,

¹⁴ And he made the ^(A)veil of blue, purple, crimson, and fine linen, and wove cherubim into it.

³⁵ And he made ^(A)a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen; it was worked with an artistic design of cherubim.

² and the Lord said to Moses: “Tell Aaron your brother ^(A)not to come at just any time into the Holy Place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, lest he die; for ^(B)I will appear in the cloud above the mercy seat.

26 “Moreover ^(B)you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine woven linen and blue, purple, and scarlet thread; with artistic designs of cherubim you shall weave them.

²⁰ by a new and ^(A)living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, ²¹ and having a High Priest over the house of God,

^3 (A)and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, ⁴ which had the ^(B)golden censer and ^(C)the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were ^(D)the golden pot that had the manna, ^(E)Aaron’s rod that budded, and ^(F)the tablets of the covenant; ⁵ and ^(G)above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.

Limitations of the Earthly Service

⁶ Now when these things had been thus prepared, ^(H)the priests always went into the first part of the tabernacle, performing the services. ⁷ But into the second part the high priest went alone ^(I)once a year, not without blood, which he offered for ^(J)himself and for the people’s sins committed in ignorance; ⁸ the Holy Spirit indicating this, that ^(K)the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing.
