¹⁴ He will be a holy place;^(A)
    for both Israel and Judah he will be
a stone^(B) that causes people to stumble^(C)
    and a rock that makes them fall.^(D)
And for the people of Jerusalem he will be
    a trap and a snare.^(E)

¹⁸ The path of the righteous^(A) is like the morning sun,^(B)
    shining ever brighter till the full light of day.^(C)
19 But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness;^(D)
    they do not know what makes them stumble.^(E)

¹¹ He made darkness his covering,^(A) his canopy^(B) around him—
    the dark rain clouds of the sky.
