²² Take a bunch of ^(A)hyssop and ^(B)dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and touch ^(C)the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. ^(D)None of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.

²⁸ By faith ^(A)he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood, so that the Destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them.

¹⁹ For when every commandment of the law had been declared by Moses to all the people, he took ^(A)the blood of calves and goats, ^(B)with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,

The Earthly Holy Place

9 Now even the first covenant had regulations for worship and ^(A)an earthly place of holiness.

¹⁸ Then a clean person shall take ^(A)hyssop and dip it in the water and sprinkle it on the tent and on all the furnishings and on the persons who were there and on whoever touched the bone, or the slain or the dead or the grave.

⁷ “Then they shall take some of the blood and put it on the ^(A)two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat it.

² according to ^(A)the foreknowledge of God the Father, ^(B)in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and ^(C)for sprinkling with his blood:

May ^(D)grace and ^(E)peace be multiplied to you.

²⁴ and to Jesus, ^(A)the mediator of a new covenant, and to ^(B)the sprinkled blood ^(C)that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

¹⁴ how much more will ^(A)the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit ^(B)offered himself without blemish to God, ^(C)purify our^[a] conscience ^(D)from dead works ^(E)to serve the living God.
