^10 (A)Come, ^(B)let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and, if war breaks out, they join our enemies and fight against us and escape from the land.”

^19 (A)He dealt shrewdly with our race and forced our fathers to expose their infants, ^(B)so that they would not be kept alive.

¹⁵ This is not ^(A)the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, ^(B)demonic. ¹⁶ For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. ¹⁷ But ^(C)the wisdom from above is first pure, then ^(D)peaceable, gentle, open to reason, ^(E)full of mercy and good fruits, ^(F)impartial and ^(G)sincere. ¹⁸ And ^(H)a harvest of righteousness ^(I)is sown in peace by those who make peace.

^18 (A)Let no one deceive himself. ^(B)If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. ¹⁹ For ^(C)the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, ^(D)“He catches the wise in their craftiness,” ²⁰ and again, ^(E)“The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”

A Plot to Kill Paul
