¹⁵ Then Mordecai went out from the presence of the king ^(A)in royal robes of blue and white, with a great golden crown^[a] and ^(B)a robe of fine linen and purple, ^(C)and the city of Susa shouted and rejoiced.

¹⁹ “There was a rich man who was clothed in ^(A)purple and fine linen and ^(B)who feasted sumptuously every day.

²⁹ yet I tell you, ^(A)even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

⁸ let royal robes be brought, which the king has worn, ^(A)and the horse that the king has ridden, and on whose head ^(B)a royal crown^[a] is set.

^15 (A)The couriers went out hurriedly by order of the king, and the decree was issued in Susa the citadel. And the king and Haman sat down to drink, ^(B)but the city of Susa was thrown into confusion.

⁶ There were white cotton curtains and violet hangings fastened with cords of fine linen and purple to silver rods^[a] and marble pillars, and also ^(A)couches of gold and silver on a mosaic pavement of porphyry, marble, mother-of-pearl, and precious stones.

⁴² Then Pharaoh ^(A)took his signet ring from his hand and put it on Joseph's hand, and ^(B)clothed him in garments of fine linen ^(C)and put a gold chain about his neck.

⁸ What then did you go out to see? A man^[a] dressed in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.
