New King James Version
Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom
15 Therefore I also, (A)after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 (B)do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that (C)the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, (D)may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 (E)the eyes of your [a]understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is (F)the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, (G)according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when (H)He raised Him from the dead and (I)seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 (J)far above all (K)principality[b] and [c]power and [d]might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
By Grace Through Faith
2 And (Q)you He made alive, (R)who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 (S)in which you once walked according to the [e]course of this world, according to (T)the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in (U)the sons of disobedience, 3 (V)among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in (W)the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and (X)were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
4 But God, (Y)who is rich in mercy, because of His (Z)great love with which He loved us, 5 (AA)even when we were dead in trespasses, (AB)made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together (AC)in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in (AD)His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
