14 Stand firm therefore, (A)having belted your waist with truth, and having (B)put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having (C)strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 [a]in addition to all, taking up the (D)shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the (E)flaming arrows of (F)the evil one. 17 And take (G)the helmet of salvation and the (H)sword of the Spirit, which is (I)the word of God.

18 [b]With every (J)prayer and request, [c](K)pray at all times (L)in the Spirit, and with this in view, [d](M)be alert with all (N)perseverance and every (O)request for all the [e]saints, 19 and (P)pray in my behalf, that speech may be given to me (Q)in the opening of my mouth, to make known with (R)boldness (S)the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an (T)ambassador (U)in [f]chains; that [g]in proclaiming it I may speak (V)boldly, (W)as I ought to speak.
