Children, obey your parents in the Lord. For this is right.

Honor your father and mother (which is the first Commandment with a promise),

so that it may be well with you and that you may live long on Earth.

And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger. But bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

Servants, be obedient to your masters, according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in simplicity of heart, as unto Christ;

not with service to the eye (as man-pleasers) but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart

with good will, serving the Lord and not man.

And know that whatever good thing anyone does, that same shall he receive from the Lord, whether slave or free.

And masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening and knowing that your master also is in Heaven. And there is no partiality with Him.

10 Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceit of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the kings, against the authorities, and against the rulers of the darkness of this world; against the spiritual forces of iniquity which are in the high place.

13 For this reason take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on the evil day. And having finished all things, stand fast.

14 Stand therefore, having wrapped your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.

16 Above all, take the shield of Faith, with which you may quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

18 And pray always, with all manner of prayer and supplication, in the Spirit. And watch for this very thing - with all perseverance and supplication - for all Saints

19 and for me; that a Word may be given to me, so that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the secret of the Gospel,

20 for which I am an ambassador in a chain. So that therein I may speak boldly as I ought to speak.

21 And so that you may also know my affairs (and what I do) Tychicus, my dear brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things.

22 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that you might know my affairs and that he might comfort your hearts.

23 Peace to the brothers and love with faith, from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

24 Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ incorruptibly. Amen.

(written from Rome to the Ephesians and sent by Tychicus.)
