⁵ which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:

¹⁰ Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, ¹¹ searching what, or what manner of time, ^(A)the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. ¹² To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to ^[a]us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which ^(B)angels desire to look into.

^17 (A)But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:

² that you may be mindful of the words ^(A)which were spoken before by the holy prophets, ^(B)and of the commandment of ^[a]us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior,

Greeting

1 Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and ^(A)the acknowledgment of the truth ^(B)which accords with godliness, ² in hope of eternal life which God, who ^(C)cannot lie, promised before time began, ³ but has in due time manifested His word through preaching, which was committed to me according to the commandment of God our Savior;

⁹ and to make all see what is the ^[a]fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who ^(A)created all things ^[b]through Jesus Christ;

²⁰ having been ^(A)built ^(B)on the foundation of the ^(C)apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being ^(D)the chief cornerstone,

²⁸ Then he said to them, “You know how ^(A)unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But ^(B)God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

²⁴ for I tell you ^(A)that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it.”

²⁶ But ^(A)the ^[a]Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will ^(B)send in My name, ^(C)He will teach you all things, and bring to your ^(D)remembrance all things that I said to you.
