¹⁸ for through him both of us have access in one Spirit to the Father.^(A)

¹² in whom we have access in boldness and confidence through faith in him.^[a](A)

¹³ For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.^(A)

⁴ there is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling,^(A)

² through whom we have obtained access^[a] to this grace in which we stand, and we^[b] boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.^(A)

⁶ Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.^(A)

⁹ I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved and will come in and go out and find pasture.

⁷ So again Jesus said to them, “Very truly, I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep.

A Call to Persevere

¹⁹ Therefore, my brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus,^{(A) 20} by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain (that is, through his flesh),^(B)

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested^[a] as we are, yet without sin.^{(A) 16} Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
