^7 (A)In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to ^(B)the riches of His grace

²⁴ being justified ^[a]freely ^(A)by His grace ^(B)through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

^24 (A)who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, ^(B)that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—^(C)by whose ^[a]stripes you were healed.

^14 (A)in whom we have redemption ^[a]through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

⁷ But if we ^(A)walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and ^(B)the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we ^(C)confess our sins, He is ^(D)faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to ^(E)cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

¹⁸ knowing that you were not redeemed with ^[a]corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, ¹⁹ but ^(A)with the precious blood of Christ, ^(B)as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

¹² Not ^(A)with the blood of goats and calves, but ^(B)with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place ^(C)once for all, ^(D)having obtained eternal redemption. ¹³ For if ^(E)the blood of bulls and goats and ^(F)the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, ^[a]sanctifies for the ^[b]purifying of the flesh, ¹⁴ how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without ^[c]spot to God, ^(G)cleanse your conscience from ^(H)dead works ^(I)to serve the living God? ¹⁵ And for this reason ^(J)He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that ^(K)those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

²² And according to the law almost all things are ^[a]purified with blood, and ^(A)without shedding of blood there is no ^[b]remission.

⁴ For ^(A)it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

Christ’s Death Fulfills God’s Will^(B)

⁵ Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:

⁸ Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), ⁹ then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, ^[a]O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. ^10 (D)By that will we have been ^[b]sanctified ^(E)through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Christ’s Death Perfects the Sanctified

¹¹ And every priest stands ^(F)ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. ^12 (G)But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down ^(H)at the right hand of God,
