Byddwch gan hynny ddilynwyr Duw, fel plant annwyl; A rhodiwch mewn cariad, megis y carodd Crist ninnau, ac a’i rhoddodd ei hun drosom ni, yn offrwm ac yn aberth i Dduw o arogl peraidd. Eithr godineb, a phob aflendid, neu gybydd‐dra, nac enwer chwaith yn eich plith, megis y gweddai i saint; Na serthedd, nac ymadrodd ffôl, na choeg ddigrifwch, pethau nid ydynt weddus: eithr yn hytrach rhoddi diolch. Canys yr ydych chwi yn gwybod hyn, am bob puteiniwr, neu aflan, neu gybydd, yr hwn sydd ddelw‐addolwr, nad oes iddynt etifeddiaeth yn nheyrnas Crist a Duw. Na thwylled neb chwi â geiriau ofer: canys oblegid y pethau hyn y mae digofaint Duw yn dyfod ar blant yr anufudd‐dod. Na fyddwch gan hynny gyfranogion â hwynt. Canys yr oeddech chwi gynt yn dywyllwch, ond yr awron goleuni ydych yn yr Arglwydd: rhodiwch fel plant y goleuni; (Canys ffrwyth yr Ysbryd sydd ym mhob daioni, a chyfiawnder, a gwirionedd;) 10 Gan brofi beth sydd gymeradwy gan yr Arglwydd. 11 Ac na fydded i chwi gydgyfeillach â gweithredoedd anffrwythlon y tywyllwch, eithr yn hytrach argyhoeddwch hwynt. 12 Canys brwnt yw adrodd y pethau a wneir ganddynt hwy yn ddirgel. 13 Eithr pob peth, wedi yr argyhoedder, a eglurir gan y goleuni: canys beth bynnag sydd yn egluro, goleuni yw. 14 Oherwydd paham y mae efe yn dywedyd, Deffro di yr hwn wyt yn cysgu, a chyfod oddi wrth y meirw; a Christ a oleua i ti. 15 Gwelwch gan hynny pa fodd y rhodioch yn ddiesgeulus, nid fel annoethion, ond fel doethion; 16 Gan brynu’r amser, oblegid y dyddiau sydd ddrwg. 17 Am hynny na fyddwch annoethion, eithr yn deall beth yw ewyllys yr Arglwydd. 18 Ac na feddwer chwi gan win, yn yr hyn y mae gormodedd; eithr llanwer chwi â’r Ysbryd; 19 Gan lefaru wrth eich gilydd mewn salmau, a hymnau, ac odlau ysbrydol; gan ganu a phyncio yn eich calon i’r Arglwydd; 20 Gan ddiolch yn wastad i Dduw a’r Tad am bob peth, yn enw ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist; 21 Gan ymddarostwng i’ch gilydd yn ofn Duw. 22 Y gwragedd, ymostyngwch i’ch gwŷr priod, megis i’r Arglwydd. 23 Oblegid y gŵr yw pen y wraig, megis ag y mae Crist yn ben i‘r eglwys; ac efe yw Iachawdwr y corff. 24 Ond fel y mae’r eglwys yn ddarostyngedig i Grist, felly hefyd bydded y gwragedd i’w gwŷr priod ym mhob peth. 25 Y gwŷr, cerwch eich gwragedd, megis ag y carodd Crist yr eglwys, ac a’i rhoddes ei hun drosti; 26 Fel y sancteiddiai efe hi, a’i glanhau â’r olchfa ddwfr trwy y gair; 27 Fel y gosodai efe hi yn ogoneddus iddo ei hun, yn eglwys heb arni na brycheuyn na chrychni, na dim o’r cyfryw; ond fel y byddai yn sanctaidd ac yn ddifeius. 28 Felly y dylai’r gwŷr garu eu gwragedd, megis eu cyrff eu hunain. Yr hwn a garo ei wraig, sydd yn ei garu ei hun. 29 Canys ni chasaodd neb erioed ei gnawd ei hun; eithr ei fagu a’i feithrin y mae, megis ag y mae’r Arglwydd am yr eglwys: 30 Oblegid aelodau ydym o’i gorff ef, o’i gnawd ef, ac o’i esgyrn ef. 31 Am hynny y gad dyn ei dad a’i fam, ac y glŷn wrth ei wraig, a hwy a fyddant ill dau yn un cnawd. 32 Y dirgelwch hwn sydd fawr: eithr am Grist ac am yr eglwys yr wyf fi yn dywedyd. 33 Ond chwithau hefyd cymain un, felly cared pob un ohonoch ei wraig, fel ef ei hunan; a’r wraig edryched ar iddi berchi ei gŵr.

Follow God’s example,(A) therefore, as dearly loved children(B) and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us(C) and gave himself up for us(D) as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.(E)

But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality,(F) or of any kind of impurity, or of greed,(G) because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk(H) or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.(I) For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater(J)—has any inheritance(K) in the kingdom of Christ and of God.[a](L) Let no one deceive you(M) with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath(N) comes on those who are disobedient.(O) Therefore do not be partners with them.

For you were once(P) darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light(Q) (for the fruit(R) of the light consists in all goodness,(S) righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord.(T) 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness,(U) but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light(V) becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said:

“Wake up, sleeper,(W)
    rise from the dead,(X)
and Christ will shine on you.”(Y)

15 Be very careful, then, how you live(Z)—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity,(AA) because the days are evil.(AB) 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.(AC) 18 Do not get drunk on wine,(AD) which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,(AE) 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit.(AF) Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks(AG) to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Instructions for Christian Households(AH)

21 Submit to one another(AI) out of reverence for Christ.

22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands(AJ) as you do to the Lord.(AK) 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church,(AL) his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands(AM) in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives,(AN) just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her(AO) 26 to make her holy,(AP) cleansing[b] her by the washing(AQ) with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself(AR) as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.(AS) 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives(AT) as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body.(AU) 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”[c](AV) 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife(AW) as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
