²² The good leave an inheritance to their children’s children,
    but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.^(A)

¹⁶ Though they heap up silver like dust
    and pile up clothing like clay,^(A)
17 they may pile it up, but the just will wear it,
    and the innocent will divide the silver.^(B)

¹⁰ Tell the innocent how fortunate they are,
    for they shall eat the fruit of their labors.^(A)
11 Woe to the guilty! How unfortunate they are,
    for what their hands have done shall be done to them.^(B)

⁸ One who augments wealth by exorbitant interest
    gathers it for another who is kind to the poor.^(A)

¹³ Happy are those who find wisdom
    and those who get understanding,
¹⁴ for her income is better than silver
    and her revenue better than gold.^(A)
15 She is more precious than jewels,
    and nothing you desire can compare with her.^(B)
16 Long life is in her right hand;
    in her left hand are riches and honor.^(C)
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
    and all her paths are peace.^(D)
18 She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her;
    those who hold her fast are called happy.^(E)
