² Do not add^(A) to what I command you and do not subtract^(B) from it, but keep^(C) the commands^(D) of the Lord your God that I give you.

³² See that you do all I command you; do not add^(A) to it or take away from it.^[a]

⁸ But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you,^(A) let them be under God’s curse!^{(B) 9} As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted,^(C) let them be under God’s curse!

¹⁹ And if anyone takes words away^(A) from this scroll of prophecy,^(B) God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life^(C) and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

¹¹ Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica,^(A) for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures^(B) every day to see if what Paul said was true.^(C)
