(A)So you will keep the words of this covenant and do them, (B)in order that you may be successful in everything that you do.

10 “You stand today, all of you, before the Lord your God: your heads, your tribes, your elders and your officers, that is, all the men of Israel, 11 your little ones, your wives, and the stranger who is within your camps, from (C)the one who gathers your firewood to the one who draws your water, 12 so that you may enter into the covenant with the Lord your God, and into His oath which the Lord your God is making with you today, 13 in order that He may establish you today as His people, and that (D)He may be your God, just as He spoke to you and as He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

14 “Now it is not with you alone that I am (E)making this covenant and this oath, 15 (F)but both with those who stand here with us today in the presence of the Lord our God, and with those who are not with us here today

And you must diligently observe the words of this covenant,[a] so that you may succeed in all that you do.

10 “You are standing today,[b] all of you, before[c] Yahweh your God, your leaders, your tribes, your elders, and your officials, all the men of Israel, 11 your little children, your women and your aliens[d] who are in the midst of your camp, from the choppers[e] of your wood to the drawers[f] of your water, 12 in order for you to enter into the covenant of Yahweh your God,[g] and into[h] his oath that Yahweh your God is making with you[i] today,[j] 13 in order to establish you today[k] to himself[l] as a people and so that he may be for you as God, just as he promised[m] to you and just as[n] he swore to your ancestors,[o] to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

14 “Now I am not making this covenant[p] and this oath with you alone.[q] 15 But with whoever is standing here[r] with us today[s] before[t] Yahweh our God, and with whoever is not standing here[u] with us today.[v]
