Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died; his eyes were not weak, and his vitality had not left him. The Israelites wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days.(A) Then the days of weeping and mourning for Moses came to an end.(B)

Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom(C) because Moses had laid his hands on him.(D) So the Israelites obeyed him and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.(E)

Moses was a hundred and twenty years old(A) when he died, yet his eyes were not weak(B) nor his strength gone.(C) The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab(D) thirty days,(E) until the time of weeping and mourning(F) was over.

Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit[a] of wisdom(G) because Moses had laid his hands on him.(H) So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses.
