⁶ “Know, then, that the Lord your God is not giving you this good land to occupy because of your righteousness, for you are a stubborn people.^(A)

²⁷ For I know well how rebellious and stubborn you are. If you already have been so rebellious toward the Lord while I am still alive among you, how much more after my death!^(A)

¹⁶ Circumcise, then, the foreskin of your heart, and do not be stubborn any longer.^(A)

¹³ Furthermore, the Lord said to me, ‘I have seen that this people is indeed a stubborn people.^(A)

⁵¹ “You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you are forever opposing the Holy Spirit, just as your ancestors used to do.^(A)

⁹ The Lord said to Moses, “I have seen this people, how stiff-necked they are.^(A)

¹¹ But they refused to listen and turned a stubborn shoulder and stopped their ears in order not to hear.^{(A) 12} They made their hearts adamant in order not to hear the law and the words that the Lord of hosts had sent by his spirit through the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from the Lord of hosts.^(B)

⁴⁴ And you shall know that I am the Lord when I deal with you for my name’s sake, not according to your evil ways or corrupt deeds, O house of Israel, says the Lord God.^(A)

⁴ The descendants are impudent and stubborn. I am sending you to them, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’^(A)
