⁹ Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land.^(A) The Lord will again delight^(B) in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your ancestors,

⁴¹ I will rejoice^(A) in doing them good^(B) and will assuredly plant^(C) them in this land with all my heart and soul.^(D)

¹¹ I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.^(A)

¹¹ The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock^(A) and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.^(B)

¹² The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse^(C) of his bounty,^(D) to send rain^(E) on your land in season and to bless^(F) all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.^{(G) 13} The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow^(H) them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.^{(I) 14} Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left,^(J) following other gods and serving them.

⁹ Then this city will bring me renown,^(A) joy, praise^(B) and honor^(C) before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble^(D) at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.’

²⁸ Just as I watched^(A) over them to uproot^(B) and tear down, and to overthrow, destroy and bring disaster,^(C) so I will watch over them to build and to plant,”^(D) declares the Lord.

⁶³ Just as it pleased^(A) the Lord to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please^(B) him to ruin and destroy you.^(C) You will be uprooted^(D) from the land you are entering to possess.
