Defeat of King Og

3 “When we headed up the road to Bashan, King Og of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, for battle at Edrei.^(A)

⁷ When you came to this place, King Sihon of Heshbon and King Og of Bashan came out against us for battle, but we defeated them.^(A)

⁴ This was after he had defeated King Sihon of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, and King Og of Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth in Edrei.^(A)

King Og Defeated

³³ Then they turned and went up the road to Bashan, and King Og of Bashan came out against them, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.^{(A) 34} But the Lord said to Moses, “Do not be afraid of him, for I have given him into your hand, with all his people and his land. You shall do to him as you did to King Sihon of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon.”^{(B) 35} So they killed him, his sons, and all his people, until there was no survivor left, and they took possession of his land.

²² And you gave them kingdoms and peoples and allotted to them every corner,^[a] so they took possession of the land of King Sihon of Heshbon and the land of King Og of Bashan.^(A)

¹⁹ Geber son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of King Sihon of the Amorites and of King Og of Bashan. And there was one garrison in the land.^(A)

³⁰ Their territory extended from Mahanaim, through all Bashan, the whole kingdom of King Og of Bashan, and all the settlements of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty towns,^(A)

⁴ and King Og^[a] of Bashan, one of the last of the Rephaim, who lived at Ashtaroth and at Edrei^(A)
