²¹ The Lord will make the pestilence cling to you until it has consumed you off the land that you are entering to possess.^(A)

²⁵ I will bring the sword against you, executing vengeance for the covenant, and if you withdraw into your cities, I will send pestilence among you, and you shall be delivered into enemy hands.^(A)

¹⁰ And I will send sword, famine, and pestilence upon them until they are utterly destroyed from the land that I gave to them and their ancestors.^(A)

² And when they say to you, “Where shall we go?” you shall say to them: Thus says the Lord:

¹² I will strike them with pestilence and disinherit them, and I will make of you a nation greater and mightier than they.”^(A)

⁷ a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very costly ointment, and she poured it on his head as he sat at the table.

⁶ And I will strike down the inhabitants of this city, both humans and animals; they shall die of a great pestilence. ⁷ Afterward, says the Lord, I will give King Zedekiah of Judah and his servants and the people in this city—those who survive the pestilence, sword, and famine—into the hands of King Nebuchadrezzar of Babylon, into the hands of their enemies, into the hands of those who seek their lives. He shall strike them down with the edge of the sword; he shall not pity them or spare them or have compassion.^(A)

⁴ They shall die of deadly diseases. They shall not be lamented, nor shall they be buried; they shall become like dung on the surface of the ground. They shall perish by the sword and by famine, and their dead bodies shall become food for the birds of the air and for the wild animals of the earth.^(A)

¹⁵ So the Lord sent a pestilence on Israel from that morning until the appointed time, and seventy thousand of the people died, from Dan to Beer-sheba.^(A)

⁹ Nevertheless those who died by the plague were twenty-four thousand.^(A)
