⁶ and there you shall bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, ^(A)your tithes and the contribution that you present, your vow offerings, your freewill offerings, and the ^(B)firstborn of your herd and of your flock.

^19 (A)“All the firstborn males that are born of your herd and flock you shall dedicate to the Lord your God. You shall do no work with the firstborn of your herd, nor shear the firstborn of your flock. ^20 (B)You shall eat it, you and your household, before the Lord your God year by year at the place that the Lord will choose.

^12 (A)I fast twice a week; ^(B)I give tithes of all that I get.’

^42 (A)“But woe to you Pharisees! For ^(B)you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect ^(C)justice and ^(D)the love of God. ^(E)These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.

^10 (A)Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby ^(B)put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open ^(C)the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

⁸ Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. ^(A)But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ ^(B)In your tithes and contributions.

^40 (A)“For on my holy mountain, the mountain height of Israel, declares the Lord God, there ^(B)all the house of Israel, all of them, shall serve me in the land. ^(C)There I will accept them, and there I will require your contributions and the choicest of your gifts, with all your sacred offerings.

^2 (A)you shall take some of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which you harvest from your land that the Lord your God is giving you, and you shall put it in a basket, and you shall ^(B)go to the place that the Lord your God will choose, to make his name to dwell there.

Tithes

^22 (A)“You shall tithe all the yield of your seed that comes from the field year by year. ²³ And before the Lord your God, in the place that he will choose, to make his name dwell there, ^(B)you shall eat the tithe of your grain, of your wine, and of your oil, ^(C)and the firstborn of your herd and flock, ^(D)that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always. ²⁴ And if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, when the Lord your God blesses you, because ^(E)the place is too far from you, which the Lord your God chooses, to set his name there, ²⁵ then you shall turn it into money and bind up the money in your hand and go to the place that the Lord your God chooses ²⁶ and spend the money for whatever you desire—oxen or sheep or wine or strong drink, whatever your appetite craves. And ^(F)you shall eat there before the Lord your God and rejoice, you and your household.
