Deuteronomy 6:4-9 The Message (MSG)

Attention, Israel!

God, our God! God the one and only!

Love God, your God, with your whole heart: love him with all that’s in you, love him with all you’ve got!

6-9 Write these commandments that I’ve given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night. Tie them on your hands and foreheads as a reminder; inscribe them on the doorposts of your homes and on your city gates.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 New Living Translation (NLT)

“Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone.[a] And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

`Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God [is] one Jehovah;

and thou hast loved Jehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might,

and these words which I am commanding thee to-day have been on thine heart,

and thou hast repeated them to thy sons, and spoken of them in thy sitting in thine house, and in thy walking in the way, and in thy lying down, and in thy rising up,

and hast bound them for a sign upon thy hand, and they have been for frontlets between thine eyes,

and thou hast written them on door-posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
