Daniel 9:24-25
New King James Version
24 “Seventy [a]weeks are determined
For your people and for your holy city,
To finish the transgression,
[b]To make an end of sins,
(A)To make reconciliation for iniquity,
(B)To bring in everlasting righteousness,
To seal up vision and prophecy,
(C)And to anoint [c]the Most Holy.
25 “Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until (D)Messiah (E)the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
The [d]street shall be built again, and the [e]wall,
Even in troublesome times.

- Daniel 9:24 I.e. cut off, decided, determined. This phrase occurs only here and indicates a period of time set aside for a certain purpose. The prophecy that follows pertains only to the Jews and Jerusalem. It records six objectives to be achieved by the Messiah. The first three are resolved by the death and resurrection of Jesus; the final three are resolved at His second coming.
