¹³ “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man,^[a](A) coming^(B) with the clouds of heaven.^(C) He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. ¹⁴ He was given authority,^(D) glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him.^(E) His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom^(F) is one that will never be destroyed.^(G)

¹⁴ “Blessed are those who wash their robes,^(A) that they may have the right to the tree of life^(B) and may go through the gates^(C) into the city.^{(D) 15} Outside^(E) are the dogs,^(F) those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

¹⁶ “I, Jesus,^(G) have sent my angel^(H) to give you^[a] this testimony for the churches.^(I) I am the Root^(J) and the Offspring of David,^(K) and the bright Morning Star.”^(L)

¹⁷ The Spirit^(M) and the bride^(N) say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.^(O)

¹⁸ I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll:^(P) If anyone adds anything to them,^(Q) God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll.^{(R) 19} And if anyone takes words away^(S) from this scroll of prophecy,^(T) God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life^(U) and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

²⁰ He who testifies to these things^(V) says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”^(W)

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.^(X)

²¹ The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people.^(Y) Amen.

³³ Pilate then went back inside the palace,^(A) summoned Jesus and asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?”^(B)

³⁶ Jesus said, “My kingdom^(A) is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders.^(B) But now my kingdom is from another place.”^(C)
