16 (A)But I have heard that you can give interpretations and (B)solve problems. (C)Now if you can read the writing and make known to me its interpretation, (D)you shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around your neck and (E)shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”
17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, (F)“Let your gifts be for yourself, and give your rewards to another. Nevertheless, I will read the writing to the king and make known to him the interpretation.

16 Now I have heard that you are able to give interpretations and to solve difficult problems.(A) If you can read this writing and tell me what it means, you will be clothed in purple and have a gold chain placed around your neck,(B) and you will be made the third highest ruler in the kingdom.”(C)
17 Then Daniel answered the king, “You may keep your gifts for yourself and give your rewards to someone else.(D) Nevertheless, I will read the writing for the king and tell him what it means.
